چکیده

Fungi are recognized as indigenous microbes in natural hypersaline habitats. Aspergillus sp, among other fungi, is predominant those environments; however, their adaptative abilities recently studied. This study analyzes the transcriptomic response of an obligate halophile loretoensis under two salinity conditions (4% and 15% NaCl). fungus shows stress low NaCl concentration tested since it overexpresses genes like SOD2 (oxidative oxygen toxicity), ASG (resistance to salinity), transmembrane transport (ZRT2, OAC1, PMA1, ZRC1, SNQ2, MCH4, YO075, SIT1). Meanwhile, at NaCl, up-regulated were related osmolytes (STL1, HXT13, ZRT1), carbohydrate transport, metabolism (MAL11, PK1, ITR1), all suggesting adaptive conditions. expresses interesting metabolic enzymes with potential uses biotechnology invertases, isomerases, maltases, lipases. As well showed biosynthetic pathways oil degradation antibiotic production.

Response of Badami-Zarand Pistachio Rootstock to Salinity Stress

Salinity is one of the most important problems that restrict cultivation of crops in arid and semi-arid regions. Pistachio (Pistacia vera L.) is one of the most important trees that grow in these restricts. In this greenhouse study, the effects of salinity on growth of pistachio rootstock Badami evaluated. Seedlings were grown in plastic bags containing perlite. Salinity was imposed, by adding ...

Study of the Atriplex halimus response to drought and salinity stress in the seedling stage

In order to study effect of the various levels of drought and salinity stress (0, -4, -8, -12, -16 bar) on morphological, physiological and biochemical traits of Atriplex halimus in seedling stage under hydroponic culture, two separated experiments were conducted as completely randomized design in three replications in hydroecology laboratory of Gonbad Kavous University...

Adaptive response to oxidative stress in the filamentous fungus Aspergillus niger B1-D.

In the present study, we used a recombinant filamentous fungus strain, Aspergillus niger B1-D, as a model system, and investigated the antioxidant defences in this organism. Our findings indicate that pretreatment with low concentrations of H(2)O(2) completely prevents killing by this oxidant at high concentrations. It shows that A. niger adapts to exposure to H(2)O(2) by reducing growth and in...

The Stress Response Regulator AflSkn7 Influences Morphological Development, Stress Response, and Pathogenicity in the Fungus Aspergillus flavus

This study focused on AflSkn7, which is a stress response regulator in the aflatoxin-producing Aspergillus flavus. The ΔAflSkn7 mutants exhibited partially defective conidial formation and a complete inability to generate sclerotia, indicating AflSkn7 affects A. flavus asexual and sexual development. The mutants tolerated osmotic stress but were partially susceptible to the effects of cell wall...

A p53-like transcription factor similar to Ndt80 controls the response to nutrient stress in the filamentous fungus, Aspergillus nidulans

The Aspergillus nidulans xprG gene encodes a putative transcriptional activator that is a member of the Ndt80 family in the p53-like superfamily of proteins. Previous studies have shown that XprG controls the production of extracellular proteases in response to starvation. We undertook transcriptional profiling to investigate whether XprG has a wider role as a global regulator of the carbon nut...
